Here's why I believe in the power of higher education: we are the creators, the disseminators, the archivists of knowledge new and old. We can increase access to all of that is good about that knowledge to create a just, knowledgeable, engaged, productive, prosperous citizenry that pursues happiness and kindness and revels in the arts and humanities. We can. And we should.
